Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) production is essential for sustenance of Benta operation as FFBS are raw material for CPO, PK PKS and Sludge oil production. Quality FFB crops which are characterized by zero percent of under ripe, overripe, unripe, old bunch are prerequisite for higher OER and KER and correspondingly CPO and PK production volume. These FFB are primarily destined for the company’s own CPO mills except during excess crops or mill repair/maintenance works where diversion is made to the outside mills like Sabah Softwoods Berhad Kapilit Mill, Teck Guan Rex and Brantian mills, Balung Palm Oil mill, etc.
Crude Palm Oil (CPO) is ultimately the core business product of the company that generates revenue to sustain its operation, Quality CPO with FFA content less than 5%, DOBI more than 2.31 per load With less than 0.25% moisture and impurities shall be produced to command the price of RM2400/MT in the market.
Palm Kernel (PK) is an important by-product of the CPO mill, thus quality PK with impurities level below 6% shall be emphasized in order to command fair market pricing, PK market is confined to local buyers. Palm Kernel price is expected to average at RM1920/MT.
Palm Kernel Shell (PKS) is a mill by-product which can contribute to the company’s revenue base and thus continued to be produced for such purpose and sold locally at ex-mill price of RM140/MT.
Palm Fibre is produced from oil palm’s vascular bundles in the Empty Fruit Bunch (EFB) and considered as waste products after the Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) have been processed.
